As I reflect on this busy week - full of pictures and work and my first Mother's day - I am reminded of the most important thing for me about being a photographer. It is being able to show
relationships. The love in a couple, the play between siblings, the unique connections in a family and the joy of a new life.
I have always had a strong bond with my mother and now that I have a daughter - I am experiencing a whole new kind of love. I can't wait to wake up and see her smiling face. I look forward to bath time. I refer to myself as momma. I now know what all the fuss is about.
I have a whole collection of images from clients and friends that show this special love.
Now I have my own.
Here are a few of me and baby girl. I have also re-posted some of my favorite images of mommas, their babies and the connections we all share.
Happy Mother's Day to all of you.

We love staring into momma's eyes |
and we laugh when she plays. |
She knows how to make us smile |
| |
and reads the book over and over |
and gives the best kisses. |
She couldn't wait for us to get here |
and loved us right from the start. |
She taught us how to laugh |
how to be confidant. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | |
and how to snuggle. |
she is our first love. |
